Run away!!

Here is that strange and rare bird, kitty!fic. It's not even Spander. I had a weird couple of hours, and then some. *g*

Blair ducked his head, hair covering his burning cheeks. “You want what, Jim?”

Jim’s brow creased in thought. “Where’s the confusion, Einstein? I asked you to help me dial down while I sniff out the cocaine.”

“Try not to sniff too hard, man. That stuff’ll blow your skull off.” Blair raised his eyes and smiled uncertainly, attempting a small joke. “Might make a good key basket.”

This was his second night back in the loft since the press conference disaster and Blair was still treading carefully, his heart pounding whenever Jim looked at him. He had no clue how they could ever be partners -- lovers -- again, but he knew he had to try or there’d be no peace for him, in this life or any other.

This obstinate, closed-down man was the love of his life.

“So, why the question?” Jim asked with an equally unsure smile.

Blair fiddled with the text in his lap and muttered, “Thought you said you want me to go down on my knees and suck you.”

“Actually, I said I want you to go down to the pier and help me find the blow.” Jim took a deep breath, hoping Blair would understand his attempt to reach out. “But I’m easy.”

He oomphed as Blair’s body landed in his lap, knocking him back on the couch.

“Can the sniffing wait until later?” Blair asked plaintively, licking Jim’s neck.

“Oh, yeah, I think so.” Jim watched with fascination as Blair’s fingers eagerly unbuttoned his shirt then unbuckled his jeans and pushed them down.

Jim lay back on the sofa and dismissed his doubts. Blair’s hot mouth encircled his cock as wandering fingers played with his nipples. “This is more important,” he said, his hands stroking over the curls he’d missed so damn much.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, but: 1. have several pots of coffee and a pack of cigarettes (herbal) on the go while you're waiting because I'm pathetically slow, and 2. thank you!

I had the best time for a very, very long time, writing this. It's been an awfully dry spell and no sign of bunnies. Pity, because they're awfully cute and I grow carrots. *g*

I'm keeping it to the two fandoms, despite blandishments from others. This is the only other one I've ever been able to write in, which tells you much. *g*

I'm just getting into this fandom and part of me wants to see the series, and part of me would much rather stay wallowing in the slashy world of fan fic.
This was beautifully sweet and tentative, but they both showed real bravery in admitting the true words and true feelings wrapped up in the misheard confusion. Thanks.

I've only been in the fandom for a couple of months but the fic is so very good! I really don't think it's necessary to see the eps to enjoy the slashy goodness. [info]lit_gal and [info]spikedluv both have excellent run-downs of the show, with fic rec's, and they did it for me.

Let me know if you'd like other rec's. 852Prospect has a very good search engine.

It was your prompt that did it, hon. I saw that, thought "It's Blim!" then wrote a drabble that didn't fit the prompt. At all. It was much better once I rewrote, with another 100 words and including the prompt. *g*

Jim is such an emotionally constipated baby. I think that's what draws me so much to the pairing. Blair is all out there, like Oddie with a brain. Jim wants to be, but he doesn't have the tools and needs to be taught. They're just adorable. I'll be writing more Blim and would have even if I hadn't had such positive fb, but it's very happy-making. Thank you! :D
